My name is Mercan (pronounced Mer-jan - c is a /dz/ sound in Turkish!) and I’m degree level educated and have lots of experience teaching Turkish to adults and children in York.
I am CRB-checked, I am qualified to create language course materials.
I do lots of volunteering with Turkish communities and refugees - particularly women - to help language, communication and to try and help people understand culture and language.
